Coach FAQs

What do I need to do to coach a team?

         In order to coach a team each head coach and assistant coach MUST complete a background check and a concussion certification course.  

  Background check: Each head coach and assistant coach must complete a background check every 24 months.                                                                                  These are free to you. The club pays $8 per background check so please be thoughtful and            
                                                            don't fill one out every season!  To complete your background check click here.

                      Concussion course:   Each head coach an assistant coach must complete an online concussion certification course
                                                             one every 12 months. This course is free to you and the club.  The club needs a copy of your
                                                             certificate of completion so please print or save the certificate as a PDF and turn it in to us as
                                                             soon as you can.


How often should my team practice?

  The number of practices your team has depends on their age.  In general these are the recommendations for each division:

U5/U6 -  1 practice per week, approximately 30-40 minutes
U7/U8 -  1 or 2 practices per week, approximately 45 minutes each
                                        U9/U10 -   2 practices per week, no longer than 1 hour each
         U11/U12 - 2 practices per week, no longer than 1.5 hours each
                                        U14/U15 - 2 practices per week, no longer than 2 hours each

        NOTE:  Practices should be held after normal business hours during the week.

                                       

What if I need equipment?

You do not need to provide extra balls, cones or pennies for your team to practice with.  If you need these supplies we can provide
them to you. Each bag checked out requires a $40 refundable deposit. Your deposit will be returned to you at season end so long
 as all equipment is returned in the condition it was given to you.
